Wheel Company’s Web Enhancements Keep Sales Rolling

For Immediate Release
Tempe, AZ; February 3, 2009 — One of the country’s largest wheel distributors, Wheel Specialists, Inc. (WSI) understands the importance of an effective Web site. “We’re always asking how we can make our wheels more visible online,” says Darren Young, WSI’s vice president of sales and marketing. “People need to see our products before they buy them.”
WSI turned to its online partner, VISIONN Creative Marketing, for assistance in planning a third iteration of the company Web site. “One of WSI’s priorities was to fit more products on the page,” says Marvin Forte, Creative Kingpin at VISIONN. “A key feature of the new site is a fluid design that adjusts the site’s content to fit the user’s screen. People with large monitors will see more product images on the page. It’s a great way to maximize each user’s available space.”
The team at VISIONN also employed a rollover feature that instantly enlarges wheel images and the wheels can be made even bigger with another click. The gallery of vehicles allows people to search images by vehicle type or by wheel. Featured gallery images are also integrated into every product page, for a dynamic interface that gives users both a clear product detail and images of the product in use.
“We’re very pleased with what VISIONN created for us,” says Mr. Young. “Our new look on the Web is a valuable tool for showcasing our products, and it gives us the versatility we need to stay ahead in the market.” The site uses VISIONN’s innovative Content Management System, ADMINN CMS, which allows WSI to add products, change specifications and prices, and perform other updates on its own.
WSI has been a client of VISIONN’s since 2001. “They approached us when their first Web site wasn’t performing,” remembers Robert Smith, VISIONN’s Ringleader. “The site we developed back then helped them set new records in monthly sales and they continued that growth in the years to follow. That convinced them to keep evolving with Web technology to enhance the customer experience. You could say that we don’t reinvent the wheel each time, we just keep making it better.”
