For Immediate Release
Not long ago, the Maricopa Medical Center’s Emergency Medicine residency program brought its Web site to VISIONN Creative Marketing for some emergency treatment of its own.
“It’s not very common in the medical field to have a state-of-the-art Web site,” says Marvin Forte, Creative Kingpin at VISIONN. “Maricopa came to us because they wanted to stand out and create a more powerful Web presence.”
VISIONN came to the rescue with a complete site overhaul that included an intuitive navigation system, a professional look and feel, and functionality (like calendars and photo albums) designed to foster a sense of community.
“Our clients really listened to us,” recalls Robert Smith, VISIONN’s Ringleader. “They relied on our expertise to help them reach their goal of increasing the quality and number of residency program applicants.”
The results have been remarkable. “During our last recruitment season,” says Dana Toigo, Maricopa’s Program Coordinator, “multiple prospective residents commented on what a user-friendly site we had. At least one person requested an interview with us because our site made her realize that she could really be part of something special here.”
The new site has the added benefit of improved communications among the staff and residents. “It’s really easy for us to add, edit, and delete content,” Toigo says. “We’re able to keep the site current and make it a valuable resource for everyone affiliated with our program. We send fewer emails and use a lot less paper. Residents can view their schedules online, and can stay in the loop via our constantly-updated News section.”
